Sew Atlanta's Secrets

Come take part in a public art event.

Want to know the secrets Atlanta keeps?

Help artist Jes Schrom embroider more than 275 vintage handkerchiefs for the "" public art project. The event will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at Young Blood Gallery & Boutique in Poncey-Highland.

No sewing experience is necessary. All supplies are provided and sewing lessons will be given to those new to the process.

Schrom asked people to submit secrets for the project. They were collected at drop boxes around Atlanta, including at Octane Coffee in West Midtown.

The art installation is part of Flux Projects, a nonprofit that supports artists in creating innovative temporary public art throughout the Atlanta area.
