Special events, extended hours conclude “Picasso To Warhol”

Saturday's POP! party includes live music and exclusive access to the galleries and free parking 11 p.m. to 2 a.m.

The High Museum of Art’s special exhibition Picasso To Warhol: Fourteen Modern Masters continues with its final weekend of special events and extended hours to accommodate visitors who have missed the exhibit during its six-plus month stay in Atlanta.

And to assist those who desire to see and soak it in one last time.

The public has until Sunday, April 29, to experience more than 100 works of art created by 14 iconic 20th-century artists including Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Joan Miró, Jackson Pollock, Jasper Johns and Andy Warhol.

The exhibition currently ranks No. 5 among the all-time most attended exhibitions for the High. The exhibition is part of a continuing collaboration with The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).

By the numbers, “Picasso To Warhol” has hosted more than 308,650 visitors, including more than 75,000 students from 51 surrounding Georgia counties, a museum record for school-related visits.

The final weekend of “Picasso To Warhol” provide visitors with many opportunities to experience the exhibition, including:

Thursday Nights at the High – Half-price tickets

Thursday, April 26, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The Museum offers extended hours at half-price, a great way to see the Museum’s special exhibitions and permanent collection while avoiding the weekend crowds.

Go Out with a POP!

Saturday, April 28, 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Shine like a Warhol superstar and help send the Picasso to Warhol exhibition off in style. Visitors may experiment in a DIY silkscreen studio, vogue for a screen test, explore works of art during the curator led Pop Talks, and experience many more activities. The POP! party includes live music and exclusive access to the galleries during the final days of Picasso to WarholFree parking 11 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Tickets are $20; $10 for Members; $5 for students with a valid I.D. 

Extended hours on Sunday, April 29 – noon to 6 p.m.
