The Fox Launches Special Movie Tours during Coca-Cola Summer Film Fest in July

The Fox Theatre is opening up to the public and sharing some of its little known secrets during 3 days of its Coca-Cola Summer Film Festival in late July.

According to a written statement from the iconic theatre, "guests will get the chance to take a guided tour to the projection booth, screening room, 2 Star dressing rooms and stage while learning about the history of movie palaces and Mr. William Fox’s innovations."

Tours must be purchased with a movie ticket, and are not sold separately. Combo prices are $35 (except for the Grease Sing-A-Long which is $40), plus any processing fees at point of sale. Friday, July 26: Movie Tours at 5 PM and 5:10PM before showing of Django Unchained

Saturday, July 27:  Movie Tours at 11:30 AM and 11:40AM before showing of The Croods; and Movie Tours at 5:00 PM and 5:10PM before the Grease Sing-A-Long

Sunday, July 28: Movie Tours at 1:30 PM and 1:40 PM before showing of Lawrence of Arabia

A PR spokesperson for The Fox says that, "space is limited; 20 people per individual tour. Movie Tours are not recommended for children under 7 due to the travel and tight locations.  Children 2 and under are not permitted.  Everyone must have a ticket. A few of the locations on the tour route are not ADA accessible and there are many stairs involved."
