Todd Rundgren’s Utopia made a pit stop in Midtown Wednesday night to play a two-plus hour show at .

This fifth show of a mini 12-stop tour was not about cranking out pop hit classics such as "Hello It's Me" or "I Saw the Light."
 
Rather, Mr. Runt and his five-man backing group performed an assortment of progressive rock masterpieces pulled from two albums: Todd Rundgren's Utopia, 1974, and Another Live, 1975. Several of the songs performed had not been heard in concert in more than 30 years.
 
Todd Rundgren’s Utopia was actually recorded live at the on Nov. 8, 1973. Almost 38 years to the day, Rundgren’s band opened Wednesday night’s show with that album’s opening song, “Utopia Theme.’’
 
Upon conclusion, the 63-year-old Rundgren, who makes his home in Hawaii, told the audience: “We recorded that song a long time ago just up the street at the Fox, so Atlanta has a special place in our hearts.’’
