Highlights from the upcoming Family Performances include the return of Ludwig’s musical tale of a mermaid princess turned pirate. "The Little Pirate Mermaid," which was recently awarded an UNIMA Citation of Excellence, opens Thursday, June 14 and runs through July 15.

Prepare to hoist up the main sail and get ready for Hans Christian Andersen’s tale with a swashbuckling musical twist. Take the plunge and see this exciting marionette adventure featuring a bountiful ocean of puppets, unique characters, original music, stunning stage effects, and bubbly action.

But ahoy, mateys! Patch is giving away a family four-pack of tickets to Saturday’s 1 p.m. performance. Entering this contest is easy. All you have to do is post an answer below to the question, “Who is your favorite Jim Henson Muppet?”

There’s no need to write a lot. Just tell us who and we’ll conduct a random drawing from among the comments entered by noon on Friday, June 15.

We've attached the legal rules in case you're the sort who likes to read all the fine print. And please be aware that the winner must be willing to be named in a follow-up on Midtown Patch.

We asked Ludwig his favorite and he was quick to say, “I love Animal! He’s on my key chain. Animal always gets me home.”
