Atlanta Pride: Stonewall Month Events

Stonewall Month commemorates the Stonewall Riots that took place in NYC in 1969.

Beginning June 5th, there are month-long events happening throughout Atlanta.  For a complete schedule, go to Stonewall Month.  Some events are free and some have a fee.

“Examining What We Have & Where It Can Take Us” is a poetry workshop that will be led by Pushcart Prize nominee Dustin Brookshire.  Workshop participants will bring in one “finished” poem or a poem in progress for a semi traditional workshop experience and embrace the words of Ellen Bryant Voigt, “It’s all a draft until you die.”  Then the poets will participate in a generative exercise! The workshop is free and open to all; it will be held at The Phillip Rush Center.
