12th & Midtown Project Nabs Fig Jam Kitchen Restaurant

Restaurant, which is moving from Brookwood Station, plans to open in the fall.

The 12th & Midtown development project is adding Fig Jam Kitchen & Bar to its retail line-up.

The eatery will relocate from Brookwood Place and take 2,000 square feet in the 77 12th building, which will be a 23-story tower that will feature 330 high-end one- and two-bedroom apartments anchored by 20,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space.

The restaurant expects to open in the fall.

“We are excited about the new 12th & Midtown location because we feel our concept fits with the neighborhood, and the area is becoming very metropolitan with great diversity,” Costanzo Astarita, Fig Jam Kitchen & Bar partner, said in a statement.

"Fig Jam is a creative and unique dining destination in Atlanta, and we are honored to bring it to 12th & Midtown," said Shirley Gouffon, senior vice president of Selig Enterprises, which, along with Daniel Corp and Northwestern Mutual is partnering on the construction.

“Our dining component showcases international cuisine, and Fig Jam perfectly exemplifies that with a new American menu that is local and authentic, yet internationally inspired.”

The project's other roster of restaurants include STK, Cucina Asellina, Ri Ra Irish Pub, RA Sushi, Mi Cocina and Piola; Café Intermezzo, Taco Diner, Tabla and Panera Bread. All of them are projected to open later this year.
