According to AAA, Georgia's gas price average is at $3.70, which is six cents higher than a week ago and 31 cents in excess from a month ago.

Still, even with the rising gas prices, AAA says Americans are still planning to travel this coming Labor Day weekend.

AAA defines the Labor Day holiday weekend as starting on Thursday and ending Monday, Sept. 3. Six days ago, AAA projected in a release that 33 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more from home during the upcoming Labor Day holiday weekend.

However, as the holiday weekend draws near, increased gas prices may cause some travelers to change their plans.
