$7.8 Million for Land to be Developed into Student Housing in Midtown

A new large student housing facility will be coming to the Spring Street corridor.

Midtown Atlanta continues to be a hot-bed of activity for development.  The latest property to be purchased for a planned development is located at 930 Spring Street and consists of 1.44 acres.  According to the Atlanta business Chronicle, the property is slated to become student housing, just outside the GA Tech campus.

Douglas Sams reports that the buyers are Inland American Communities Group Inc. and Ambling University Development Group, with plans to, build a 706-bed, mixed-use student housing project anchored by a 20-story building that will feature 268 units.

This will end up being the second tower that Ambling will have in the area.  Their other tower includes the building that houses Barnes & Noble.  For the complete story, please see Atlanta Business Chronicle.
