Atlantic Station Firm Sells Portion of Business

Cassidy Turley acquires Carter businesses.

Despite the cool, rainy weather, there was a celebration at Atlantic Station today.

Carter, a commercial real estate firm headquartered at Atlantic Station, announced Tuesday that its brokerage and property management businesses have been acquired by Cassidy Turley, a commercial real estate firm based in St. Louis, Mo.

"Today, we believe we have a game-changing announcement," Carter CEO Bob Peterson said as employees and friends enjoyed lunch from food trucks along 17 1/2 Street in the mixed-use development.

"Our acquisition of Carter allows us to expand Cassidy Turley's service offerings ... and gives us a significant presence in two major markets, Atlanta and Florida," Mark Burkhart, CEO of Cassidy Turley, said in a release.
