Black Friday Looms

Day after Thanksgiving crammed with deals and events

For those heading to the stores on Black Friday retailers are offering major savings and extended hours on the biggest shopping day of the year.

At  Midtown's Atlantic Station many shops will open at midnight. And to appeal to the spirit of the season, for each $100 you spend Atlantic Station will donate $10 to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. If your spend more than $200 at Atlantic Station on Black Friday you will receive a FREE holiday blanket by presenting your receipts.

More than 40 stores, restaurants and entertainment sites dot the Midtown development. Atlantic Station’s four-week Holiday Gift Guide will be distributed to Black Friday shoppers with savings on dining, shopping and entertainment through the New Year.

Shoppers at Atlantic Station can also pause to enjoy a full day of entertainment with live performances in Central Park throughout the day from five local bands – including Yacht Rock – and a fireworks show.

And, most importantly, beginning on Black Friday, Santa Claus will take up residence in Central Park – right next to Atlantic Station’s 50-foot tall holiday tree!

A more meandering venues for shopping, dining and entertainment try Atlanta's Midtown Mile and surrounding area.

Styling the project after Chicago's Magnificent Mile, developers have been busy dotting 14 blocks of Peachtree Street's sidewalks from 15th Street to North Avenue with shops, boutiques and watering holes.
