Ecco on 7th Street Names a New Executive Chef, Jonathan Beatty

Fifth Street Group's, Ecco, hopes to please even more Midtown guests with their new Executive Chef.

It's time to revisit Ecco again if it has been a while since you last ate at this 7th street establishment.  Robby Kukler, Steve Simon and Kris Reinhard, the three partners behind Fifth Group Restaurants®, have just announced that they have hired Jonathan Beatty as executive chef of Ecco.

According to a press release from the restaurant, "Beatty was most recently the executive chef of Davanti Enoteca in Chicago, where he was awarded “2011 Best New Chef” and played an integral role in the restaurant earning the title of “Best New Restaurant” from Chicago Magazine. "

Ecco is located at 40 7th Street at the corner of Cypress Street in Midtown. Operating hours are Sunday through Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. The bar opens every day at 4 p.m. and has extended hours along with the patio.

Travelers can also visit Ecco and The Original El Taco, another Fifth Group property, at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport’s Maynard H. Jackson Jr. International Terminal in Concourse F. Fifth Group Restaurants is the privately owned company that operates Atlanta restaurants South City Kitchen® Midtown, South City Kitchen Vinings, La Tavola Trattoria, Ecco, The Original El Taco, Lure, and Alma Cocina, as well as Bold American Events®, a catering and events company.
