Sunday School - Vermouth

Join Ecco at the bar on Sunday, October 30 at 6 p.m. for a comprehensive history lesson and tasting of Europe's favorite secret ingredient: vermouth. This versatile fortified wine was first used as a medicinal libation starting in the 18th century until the latter 19th century when it became an important ingredient in many of the first classic cocktails, such as the martini. The herbs in vermouth also make it an attractive ingredient in sauces for fish or as a marinade for pork and chicken. The new executive chef, Craig Richards, will be a guest professor to demonstrate how best to use it in home cooking. There is no cost to attend and guests will get 15% off your check if you stay for dinner after class. For dinner reservations, call 404.347.9555 or visit http://opentable.com/ecco.
