FOX Sports Grill Leaving Atlantic Station

Neiman Marcus's new Last Call Studio rumored to replace sports-themed restaurant.

While Atlantic Station is set to welcome several new restaurant tenants this spring, it will also bid adieu to one of its original eateries come April 1.

The Atlanta Business Chronicle reported Monday afternoon that North American Properties, which owns and manages the Atlantic Station shops and restaurants, has ended its lease with the approximately 19,000-square-foot .

“Fox Sports Grill will be relocating to a new location to be announced in the immediate future, and we wish them the best with their future endeavors,’’ North American Properties said in a released statement. “Atlantic Station is intimately aware of our customers’ desires, and please be assured that we will continue to respond to their desires for the types of restaurants and retailers they have asked for.”

FOX Sports Grill opened in October 2005 and was among the early openings at the Atlantic Station mixed-use development. Now, North American Properties, which bought the 586,000-square-foot retail portion of Atlantic Station in late 2010, will be looking to fill the FOX space.

“We take our commitment and responsibility to our tenants, customers and our investors very seriously, and as a result, as we continue to re-tenant Atlantic Station Town Center,’’ the company said.

This spring, Meehan’s Public House and Yard House, which will be housed in the former Dolce space, will open at Atlantic Station.

Meanwhile, speculation will grow as to what will replace FOX Sports Grill. There had been talk at one time that Legoland would land in the FOX Sports Grill space before it instead settled in at Phipps Plaza.

There have been recent rumors to bring in Neiman Marcus’s new Last Call Studio to the space.
