'Good Food America' to Film at Miller Union and other Local Restaurants Next Week

Miller Union, Woodfire Grill and Happy Belly Food Truck to be featured locally.

Veria Living’s culinary travel series Good Food America is back in production for season two and new host Danny Boome will be in Atlanta on October 16-17 filming at a number of local restaurants, including West Midtown's Miller Union.

According to a press release, season two of the successful series will take viewers on a voyage to discover a region’s native ingredients and healthiest restaurants. Danny will meet with the local chefs crafting culinary magic that keeps locals pining for more. While in Atlanta, Good Food America will be filming at Miller Union, Woodfire Grill and the Happy Belly Food Truck.

Danny Boome is best known as host of Food Network’s Rescue Chef, ABC’s Recipe Rehab and a field correspondent for ABC’s The Chew. He began his culinary training in 1999 as a cook in Switzerland doubling up as an au pair for a local family. He later moved to Canada and trained at the acclaimed West Wind Inn. To finalize his training, Danny attended the Cookery at the Grange cooking school in England.

Owned by Steven Satterfield and Neal McCarthy, Miller Union’s unique dining space sits on the site once occupied by the Miller Union Stockyards and contributes to the revitalization of Atlanta’s dynamic Westside.

At Miller Union, they "believe in the partnership between chef and farmer." The menu is based around the week’s harvest; "we take care to preserve the true flavors of our ingredients with a simple rustic preparation."

Can't wait to see what they do for 'Good Food America'!
