Highland Bakery Opens Georgia Tech Location

Fourth location for Old Fourth Ward-based eatery.

The Highland Bakery opened its fourth outlet Tuesday at Georgia Tech.

The Old Fourth Ward-based eatery, which also has restaurants in Midtown and Buckhead, opened its Tech location in the former space that had been Junior's Grill.

Highland Bakery owner Stacey Eames did not return telephone calls seeking comment Tuesday, but the restaurant has had a long-term connection to Georgia Tech.

Highland Bakery first connected with Georgia Tech in the late 1990s with kiosks in the College of Architecture and College of Computing.

The 4,000-square-foot space also will feature a conference room designed to offer a space for faculty and staff to conduct lunch meetings.
