Jay-Z's New Club Opens at Atlanta Airport on Wednesday

Here's the 411 on Jay-Z's 40/40 upscale sports bar.

Jay-Z’s swanky 40/40 Club is slated to open a new location on Wednesday in Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. According to Access Atlanta, it will be located in Concourse D.

The concept of the sports bar is to provide travelers with access to their must-watch games in a plush, luxurious setting without even stepping out of the airport. Because let’s face it, there isn’t always enough layover time to leave the airport and find a comfy location to lounge and watch the game.

  • Travelers, are you excited to visit the 40/40 Club in ATL? Tell us in the comments section.

40/40 Club New York’s About section tells that the name of the club “is a baseball term for a record set by only four players in the history of the sport. Jose Canseco, Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez, and Alfonso Soriano became the elite and exclusive members of this record setting club by hitting 40 home runs and stealing 40 bases in a single season.”

Even the name of the rapper’s club implies elite status. According to Access Atlanta, it’s unknown whether or not Jay-Z will be at the grand opening.
