Mayor Kasim Reed at TEDCity2.0

Atlanta's Mayor Kasim Reed was the featured morning speaker at this year’s TEDCity2.0 on September 20th. For those unable to attend the event, Atlanta’s TEDxPeachtree will be live-streaming the event all day for free at the Atlanta Tech Village in Buckhead.

This year’s theme is “A Day of Urban Inspiration”, and Mayor Reed spoke on “Redefining Citizen.” In his speech, Mayor Reed focused on how he and city leaders are shaping the future of one of America's most diverse cities.

TEDCity2.0 is a day-long TED event for urban innovators, organizers, stewards and builders – with live speakers, global conversations and activities.

TEDxPeachtree’s livestream of the New York event is free and open to the public to come envision our collective City of the Future and share big ideas about collaborative action and sustainable solutions.

Co-hosted by Midtown Alliance and live-streamed from Georgia Tech, this 4-session event will tell stories of urban ingenuity and interdependence from across the globe.  TEDCity 2.0 will focus on how bright ideas turn into collective impact. Atlanta's Mayor Kasim Reed is the only mayor to participate nationwide.
