Midtown Food News: Kiri, Proof and Provision, The Spence Opens

Three bites of food news for the Midtown area: one new restaurant opening and two coming up soon.

The Monroe Drive space that formerly housed NAM will soon be home to a Japanese and Korean restaurant called Kiri, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle. An attorney recently applied for a liquor license for Kiri, which is scheduled to open in July.

Proof and Provision, a new bar under the Livingston Restaurant + Bar at the hotel, will open June 1. Chef Zeb Stevenson, who is with Livingston, will oversee this new addition too. His aim is to make Proof and Provision a little more relaxed and down-to-earth compared to its upstairs neighbor. Proof and Provision will focus on cocktails and artisan beers paired with high-end bar food-type nibbles. Check out their Facebook page and Twitter account for more details.

On Saturday, May 26, The Spence, the Richard Blais American cuisine concept, will open at 75 Fifth Street in the old Globe space. The restaurant will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., offering Midtown residents another late-late night dining option. Read more about The Spence here.
