New Park to Spring Up in Midtown

Quarter-acre park will be situated next to John Marshall Law School on West Peachtree Street.

As first reported by the Atlanta Business Chronicle this week, a new park is coming to Midtown this spring.

The Midtown Alliance and real estate developer Jamestown are working together to develop a quarter-acre park next to , located at 1422 West Peachtree Street.

The park, which will retain a large magnolia tree near W. Peachtree St., will be in an area that once was home to a pair of abandoned buildings. See here for a rendering of the project.

According to the ABC, the law school will contribute sustainable landscaping throughout the park, which will include outdoor furniture for people to relax and picnic.

The park will be located between 10 18th Street and 1412 W. Peachtree St.


On Thursday, the ABC reported that REDUS Georgia Commercial LLC has acquired ownership of the Sihouette building, located at 1447 Peachtree Street in Midtown.

The affiliate of Wells Fargo & Co., completed the $8.1 million transaction late last month, and Lincoln Property Company Southeast has taken over the management and leasing of the 116,000-square-foot building. Read more here.


Finally, has announced a trio of new hires, including Tucker Berta as marketing manager. According to a press release, Berta possesses extensive experience in branding, media relations and social media development, and comes to the hotel from an Atlanta based boutique public relations and marketing agency.

Also recently hired by the Midtown hotel are Vanessa Vincenti, remote sales manager, and Donald Carter, director of welcome office.
