New Restaurant, Gift Shop, & Sweet Spot Coming to Krog Street Market

Krog Street Market readies to open in Inman Park this summer.

Staff Report

Summer is in full swing and Inman Park's Krog Street Market is opening their doors in less than two months. With the grand opening just around the corner, Paces Properties is introducing the three newest market stalls – including a restaurant, a gift shop and a sweet treat.

Adding to the restaurant roster is Yalla – a contemporary Middle Eastern eatery that shares ownership with its market neighbor, Fred’s Meat & Bread. With a line-up of food-driven stalls, Mama Bath + BodyXocolatl – a micro chocolate factory.

“We are more than pleased with our group of market stalls and restaurants” said Patrick Wilson of Paces Properties in a news release. “With each addition we are able to offer more locally-sourced goods and unique culinary experiences to our visitors, which is one of our main goals for the Market.”

YALLA
Concept:  Coming from the talented foursome behind Fred's Meat & Bread – Chef Todd Ginsberg, Shelley Sweet, and Ben and Jennifer Johnson – Yalla will expand our cultural palate with a contemporary Middle Eastern food stall featuring shawarma and kebabs, falafel, fresh-baked pita and laffa, and a variety of salads.  Adding to the diverse group of restaurants housed at Krog Street, Yalla's meaning of "let's go" couldn't fit in more with the Market's mentality.

“I have always loved using great produce to create dishes with clean, layered flavors. This is a cuisine that lends itself wonderfully to that style and that will complement the other great offerings at Krog Street.” – Chef Todd Ginsberg

MAMA BATH + BODY
Concept:  Mama Bath + Body brings an element of beauty and gifts to Krog Street Market, featuring an all-natural line of handmade olive oil soaps, body care products, and soy candles as well as gifts and cards. Mama Bath + Body will also provide a tester sink where customers can test any product in the shop and indulge in the all-natural line of soaps and lotions. Whether one is looking for a gift or purchasing for themselves – patrons can customize their own lotions and body oils at the DIY Bar with a variety of scents to choose from.

"Our stall's small footprint will allow us to focus exclusively on products and customer service and more specifically on consumer education, a big component of the company's core mission.”  – Emilie Sennebogen Bryant, Owner

XOCOLATL
Concept:  Every market needs a micro chocolate factory and Xocolatl brings just that to Krog Street. Owners, Elaine Read and Matt Weyandt will roast, crack, winnow, stone grind and temper onsite organic cacao ethically sourced from small scale growers in the Americas.  Xocolatl will offer handcrafted and hand wrapped artisanal chocolate bars including a one of kind line of vegan milk chocolate bars and flavors ranging from Dark Chocolate Georgia Pecan and Ginger to Coconut Milk Chocolate and Jerk Spices. Chocolate lovers will be able to sample flavors at the Chocolate Tasting Bar as well as watch the delicious process take place from crafting to wrapping.

"This is our contribution to the craft food movement embraced here in Atlanta – while cacao can never be locally-sourced, our other ingredients are local whenever possible and each micro-batch is thoughtfully cultivated to bring out the unique flavor profile of the bean and its flavor pairings.”  – Elaine Read and Matt Weyandt, Chocolate Roasters
