  • Gatsby's, the new 1920s era nightclub and dessert lounge taking over the former 3-Legged Cowboy space at the Midtown Promenade, is celebrating its grand opening on New Year’s Eve. While the world’s clock advances, Gatsby’s clock will move back in time to the Roaring Twenties. Enjoy big-band swing music from 6 – 10 p.m. Beginning at 10, Gatsby's will have one of Atlanta’s hottest DJs spinning as you dance in the New Year on Gatsby's 1,500 sqare foot dance floor. Come dressed to impress. The patron with the best mask and costume will receive a $300 allowance at the bar. General admission tickets are $50 in advance, and $60 at the door.   • New Year's Eve at Park Tavern with Yacht Rock Revue is an all-inclusive event where your drinks and food are covered all night and into the wee hours of the morning.   • Pop the bubbly and say hello to 2013 at the Italian kitchen, Cucina Asellina, this New Year’s Eve. The first two seatings, at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., feature the regular dinner menu, and the late night revelers are invited to enjoy a specialty seating at 10 p.m. that includes a $60 three-course prix fixe dinner menu, complimentary Moet Imperial Champagne toast and balloon drop at midnight. DJ Xavier will set the tone for the evening, while guests will experience Cucina Asellina’s stellar service, intimate atmosphere, delicious fare and specialty cocktails to provide the perfect setting to welcome 2013 with a bang. Reservations are required.   • Whiskey Park, located inside W Atlanta – Midtown, is bringing mystique to Midtown with their 5th Annual New Year’s Eve Bash, the WISH Masquerade Ball. A super-charged evening of decadence and debauchery, guests will dress to the nines, don elaborate masks and ring in the New Year like never before. With free flowing cocktails until 1 a.m., high energy beats by Jay Envy and a guest list limited to only 350 VIPs, this soirée will be truly unforgettable. Tickets on sale now for $125 (price includes open bar from 9 p.m. – 1 a.m.). 
  • Join Atlanta’s swankiest steakhouse, STK Atlanta, this New Year’s Eve for high-energy celebration with delicious food, cocktails, DJs, dancers, a balloon drop at midnight, and more. The evening will begin with two dinner seatings at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. featuring STK’s regular dinner menu. At 10 p.m., revelers are invited to enjoy a $90 four-course prix fixe menu showcasing STK’s most popular dishes of 2012 and includes a complimentary glass of Moet Chandon Imperial Champagne. Renowned DJs will set the tone for the evening as partiers sip on Belvedere cocktails and enjoy live entertainment in the lounge.   • In the heart of Midtown, Ecco rings in the New Year with special menu items on Monday, Dec. 31. The special additions include beet velouté with pears, nasturtium, bay scallop crudo and smoked paprika ($13); baked farm egg with charred duck live, preserved lemon, lavender cream and celery leaves($10); roasted quail with chestnut risotto and black currant gastrique ($18); wood-grilled rib-eye with smoked cauliflower, crisp chanterelle mushrooms and béarnaise($58); steelhead trout with scarlet queen turnips, roe, saffron and arugula ($29), and milk chocolate torte with spiced pineapple and pine nut tuile ($9).   • JCT. Kitchen & Bar is serving a Southern dinner this New Year’s Eve on Monday, Dec. 31. For $65 per person, the restaurant is offering a taste plus a three-course meal. Diners begin the meal with the featured taste of aged goat cheese with country ham and garlic herb toast. Other sample items from the menu include smoked baby beets with watermelon radish, Asher Blue, tiny croutons and green goddess; hickory smoked beef short ribs and seared sea scallops with root vegetable Gouda gratin and braising reduction; and “nearly” flourless chocolate cake with milk chocolate ganache and white chocolate sorbet.   • Ring in the New Year at The Melting Pot and enjoy two four-course menu options and sommelier suggested wine pairings. Each menu features a cheese fondue course, salad and chocolate fondue dessert course. The “Ultimate Celebration” menu is $60 per person and includes an entrée selection of cold-water lobster tail, top-choice sirloin, mahi mahi, breast of chicken and wild mushroom sacchetti. The “Toast the 2013” menu features an eight ounce filet mignon, citrus marinated pork tenderloin, Atlantic salmon, breast of chicken, white shrimp and wild mushroom sacchetti and is available for $50 per person.   • The Loews Atlanta Hotel will ring in the New Year on Monday, Dec. 31, with two prix fixe dining options. The four-course menu will be served from 6 to 8:30 p.m. for $75 per person and the five-course dinner will be served from 9 to 11 p.m. for $90 per person. Highlights from both menus include Pacific and Atlantic oysters with caviar and yuzu pearls, Kobe beef short rib with local cheddar polenta fritter and wild mushroom ragout, sous vide lobster and blue prawn with herbed potatoes and spinach custard, and wood-fired grilled lamb sirloin with cannelloni beans and smoked garlic jus.   • On Monday, Dec. 31, South City Kitchen Midtown is elebrating New Year’s Eve with a special three-course prix fixe menu at $42 per person. Both locations are offering options such as housemade pimento cheese with toasted corn crackers, butter pickles and celery hearts, pan-seared duck breast with butternut puree, mustard greens and sweet garlic jus, and Velvet Elvis Cake, banana-chocolate mayonnaise cake with peanut butter icing.   • Toast away 2012 and say cheers to the New Year at Cypress Street Pint and Plate. This New Year’s Eve at one of Midtown’s favorite haunts, great beer, champagne toasts, and a midnight breakfast buffet for the late night partiers are the key ingredients to this spectacular year-end celebration. The doors open at 8 p.m., so guests can arrive early to get a prime spot and enjoy free well bar and house beer from 9 to 10 p.m. Pre-sale tickets can purchased for $10 here or at the door for $15.
  • Acclaimed chef-owner Anne Quatrano is celebrating New Year’s Eve in style at Bacchanalia and Abattoir. Bacchanalia will offer its award-winning, five-course prix fixe menu available for $85 per person. See here for more information.
  • Ring in the New Year with an evening of dining and dancing at Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta. The evening includes an a la carte menu with the option of a five-course prix fixe menu for $95 with a champagne toast at midnight. Park 75‘s a la carte menu will also be available.   • After three successful months, Hudson North, the farm-to-tavern, pop-up restaurant located in Atlantic Station, will celebrate its last day in existence with a New Year’s Eve throwdown of monumental proportions. Its visionaries, Billy and Jenn Streck, are tight lipped about the affair, but promise an evening filled with surprises, libations, delicious fare and great friends. See here for more information.
