Report: Sprouts Farmers Market Coming to Piedmont Road

Sprouts Farmers Market will be the anchor tenant of a 6-acre mixed-use project on Piedmont Road near Cheshire Bridge Road.

A mixed-use located at the front door of the Morningside and Lenox Park neighborhoods between Buckhead and Midtown will be home to a new natural foods grocer.

Atlanta Business Chronicle reported Thursday that Sprouts Farmers Market will be the anchor tenant of a 6-acre project on Piedmont Road near Cheshire Bridge Road.

The project from Fuqua Development LLC, which will feature 300 apartments and 34,000 square feet of retail, is scheduled to break ground this spring at the site home to the aging Rock Springs shopping center.

Arizona-based Sprouts Farmers Markets LLC has focused on metro Atlanta for its expansion into the Southeast region.

According to ABC, the $2 billion organic grocery chain plans 15 stores in the metro area over the next three years and possibly a distribution center. Read more from ABC here.
