Table One rebounds with an 'A' on health inspection

One week after being saddled with an alarming unsatisfactory score on its Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness score, Midtown’s Table One has rebounded with a near-perfect follow-up score of 97.

Table One is located at 1201 West Peachtree Street on the concourse level of One Atlantic Center. It is open Monday through Friday for breakfast and lunch, serving open grill; Naples-style pizza; hot specials, made-to-order sandwiches, salads, and more.

On Dec. 7, 2012, Table One scored a 44. Among the 18 violations listed were three violations known as risk factors for foodborne illness. They included:

• Person in charge present, demonstrates knowledge, and performs duties
• Hands clean and properly washed
• Adequate handwashing facilities supplied & accessible

Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness scores range from 90-100 (A); 80-89 (B); 70-79 (C); and 69-below (U), unsatisfactory. When restaurants receive an unsatisfactory score, the inspector notes the violations and advises on corrective action. A follow-up inspection usually comes days or weeks later.

When contacted by Patch about the Dec. 7 score, recently hired General Manager Grant Bounds from Table One explained that while the restaurant wasn’t making excuses about the score, he did say that “we will be doing things the right way from here on out.”

Table One bounced back with a solid score of Score: 97 on Dec. 14, 2012. Prior to this month, the establishment’s most recent score was a perfect 100 scored on August 23, 2011.
