This January, Preserving Place Invites Guests to Gather and Learn About Preserving

Preserving Place joins the distinctive tenant mix of the Westside Provisions District

Offering a variety of classes throughout the year, Preserving Place students can learn how to make things such as baby food, cheese, jam, fermented food, pickles and relish. As a special treat, Preserving Place is also teaming up with Ancesserie and Chef Ed Harris for two events you don’t want to miss.

On Saturday, January 25 join Martha McMillin of Preserving Place and Lydia Derrick Wherry of Ancesserie for a complimentary, drop-in lesson in “The Art of Entertaining”. From 1 p.m. – 5 p.m., guests are invited to gather around the farm table to learn the graceful and creative methods of crafting the perfect individual, handwritten “Thank You” and table setting for every occasion, while enjoying bites and sips from Preserving Place.

Preserving Place will host Chef Ed Harris, winner of CHOPPED "Turbot Powered" Season 4 on Food Network, for a night of “Mystery Box Cooking” on Friday, January 31 from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. For $125, guests are invited to see how a star Chef thinks in the kitchen while creating an appetizer and an entrée alongside Chef Ed with ingredients that will be a complete surprise.
