WHAT TO KNOW TO GET TO THE 78th ANNUAL ATLANTA DOGWOOD FESTIVAL

The 78th Annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival, presented by PNC Bank, takes place this weekend in Piedmont Park. The city’s favorite springtime tradition includes three full days of fine art, live music, international entertainment, competing young artists, a disc dog competition, exciting rides and plenty to eat and drink. New this year is the VIP Experience Backyard Barbecue & Brews, a ticketed event celebrating the South’s finest culinary tradition. www.dogwood.org  @dogwoodfestival

Festival Hours April 11 – 13: Friday: Noon to 9 p.m., Saturday: 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Artist market closes at 7 pm on Friday and Saturday.)

The best way to get to the 78th Annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival is on MARTA. Shuttles will run from the Arts Center and Midtown stations. Parking is available in the Campanile Parking Deck at 1155 Juniper Street and at the Sage Parking Facility operated by the Atlanta Botanical Garden. There will be shuttle service to the park from MARTA Arts Center Station, MARTA Midtown Station and from the Campanile Deck.

 

No dogs allowed in the park during the festival!

Due to a city ordinance, no dogs (other than service dogs and the pre-registered competing dogs) will be allowed in Piedmont Park during the festival.

No Smoking in the Park!

There is a City of Atlanta ban on smoking in outdoor parks and recreational facilities including Piedmont Park where the Atlanta Dogwood Festival is located. This means no tobacco products including cigarettes, cigars and pipe tobacco will be permitted.
