Tai Chi Class Blooms at Atlanta Botanical Garden

Classes teaching the ancient martial art of tai chi are offered throughout the summer and fall at the garden in Midtown.

Each Saturday since the beginning of July visitors to the may have noticed something besides the vegetation.

Classes on tai chi, an ancient form of martial arts, have begun. Led by instructor Lori Rowe, each class lasts for an hour on one of the open courtyards inside the gardens. Rowe has been an instructor for 12 years and has studied tai chi for close to 18 years.

Tai chi focuses on meditation and relaxation as students run through different forms that help focus, balance and strength.
