Get Burgers, Beer at new Car Wash in Home Park

Have a burger and a beer at a new car wash in Home Park. 

Auto Spa Bistro is opening at 14th and State streets across from . 

Auto Spa Bistro is really "two different businesses under one roof," owner Lemont Bradley said Tuesday night at a community meeting.

One side will have a hand car wash and detail shop. Next door will be a 1,400-square-foot restaurant and bar.

Bradley, a resident of Buckhead, said the restaurant will serve American food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Beer, wine and liquor will be served. 

He hopes to open around July 21. 

Auto Spa Bistro will give people a place to socialize and network, Bradley said.

"I think they've got a really neat concept," said Shaun Green, who represents Home Park on the NPU-E board. Bradley is in the process of securing his liquor license. He has support from the neighborhood.

Home Park Community Improvement Association has crafted a "community benefit agreement" with the business to nail down operating hours, onsite security and other things (see PDF above).

Auto Spa Bistro "is the next genesis" of development in Home Park, Green said. Car washes have operated there before -- the last closing about five years ago. But this is the first car wash that cooks and pours, too. 

Green said, "I think they've got a neat idea."
