When/Where: Saturday at noon, Peachtree Street, Downtown Atlanta.
Why Go:  Cheer as over 200 units and 2011 Grand Marshal -- Ireland’s first Consul General in Atlanta, Paul Gleeson -- proceed down Peachtree Street in Atlanta’s 129th St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Stop in at Underground Atlanta for the St. Patrick’s Day Festival after you enjoy the parade.
Pricing: Free.

When/Where: Races begin Sunday, 9 a.m. at Atlantic Station, Pinnacle Lot off 20th Street downhill from Target.
Why Go: With music along the course, runners in kilts, strollers welcome, a post-race festival including Touch-A-Truck, face painting and a doggie play area, this 5K, 10K and Kilt Run is a terrific event for the whole family (including four-legged members) and benefits The Junior League of Atlanta and its community partners.
Pricing:  $30 until March 10, $35 at packet pickup and $45 on race day.

  • FAMILY DAY – BID BONJOUR TO THE BUDDING BLOSSOMS

When/Where: Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. at the .
Why Go:  Explore Henri Cartier–Bresson’s photography and join the museum for a Family Day of photography workshops, family portraits, and French music!
Pricing: $5 off walk-up admission.  Children 5 years old and under are always free.

When/Where: Sunday, noon to 4 p.m. at the Turner Field Green Lot (Run/Walk begins at 2 p.m.).
Why Go: The HWR2011 is a major fundraiser that benefits six Atlanta organizations fighting hunger. Choose the organization your family would like to support and then register! Enjoy entertainment, food and games before the race begins.
Pricing: $25 to run. No fee to walk, but you must register and raise a minimum of $25 to receive a t-shirt on the day of the event.

  • ATLANTA SYMPHONY YOUTH ORCHESTRA WINTER CONCERT
