Holiday fun in Midtown's crisp air

Thanksgiving day brings with it skating's return to Park Tavern, and the horse-drawn carriage rides, holiday lights and carousel of Piedmont Park's, 'Season of Magic.'

Season of Magic returns to historic Piedmont Park on Thanksgiving day with
nightly horse-drawn carriage rides through the elegantly lit park. The family-favorite, holiday carousel moves to the Meadow, next to Park Tavern, which has its own brand of happy holiday fun, but more on that in a moment.

The Season of Magic celebration continues through January 6, 2013 as visitors are also welcome to stroll through the park and enjoy the festive lights and ornaments.

The Piedmont Park Conservancy will offer corporate cocktail party packages throughout the season, hosted in Magnolia Hall.

“We think we have created the perfect destination for families to celebrate the season. I don’t think there’s a more beautiful place in Atlanta to create lasting seasonal memories than Piedmont Park,” said Yvette Bowen, PPC president in a release.

Proceeds from Season of Magic will directly benefit the ongoing maintenance and security of the park. The event is conducted in partnership with the City of
Atlanta.
