Homeless Living on the Westside

Ever wonder where and how some homeless people stay relatively clean and perform their morning routine?  Well maybe not all homeless people are clean, but there are a number of highly functioning men and women that have found hard times and have become homeless. 

Midtown Patch does not know this man's personal situation, but we are impressed by the level of detail and ingenuity he is displaying. He seems to have a washing section and a drying section, neatly laid out and prepared.

This particular Patch clip was taken from the intersection of Northside Drive and 17th Street near IKEA.

The property was in the news this past February as a possible future major transportation hub for Atlanta featuring a rail and bus terminal, according to an AJC article. 

A state authority has announced its intent to award a contract to an Atlanta developer who will acquire state land and build a terminal that could combine Amtrak rail and Greyhound bus services at 17th Street and Northside Drive, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has learned.
