Midtown Residents Upset Over Occupants at Nearby Transitional House

Some of the prisoners include rapists and murderers, according to WSB.

According to the report, some residents weren't happy to find that some of the prisoners at the Atlanta Transitional Center, 332 Ponce de Leon Ave., had such a violent history.

WSB cites state policy that prisoners in the center “must not be serving a life sentence for a violent or heinous crime, which may result in adverse community reaction.”

But the news outlet found that a parole board's recommendation, and the language of the life sentence, carry a lot of weight.
