Is there going to be a pedestrian entrance from Piedmont Avenue just across from Ansley Square? It looks as though there was a gently sloped pathway cut into the hillside to accomodate such an entrance but no further work has been done at the roadside. Do you know?

I have the same question as Mark. Why no Piedmont Avenue entrance near Ansley Square?

To Mark and Clancey...It took us awhile but Piedmont Park just gave us an answer to your question... "Yes. There is a plan in Phase 2 of the expansion to add another pedestrian entry point that will give access to the Park on Piedmont across from Ansley."

So, until 'Phase !!", we have no access and have to look at that blight of uncut grass and a construction fence along Piedmont? God knows when Phase II will be.

Mark, When is phase II scheduled?

Thanks to Piedmont Park for their wonderful, continued expansion! The park is a gem and such an asset to the city of Atlanta!! Having said that, I must concur with my fellow posters, the overgrown, trash-filled, weed strewn, chain-link fence area along Piedmont road is an eyesore and needs to be cleaned up at the very least! It's a disgrace!!! Alex Wan, our city-council Representative and Piedmont Park Board members, are you seeing this??
