The Week Ahead In and Around Midtown
You can tour the Fox, learn about a proposed charter school, enjoy cocktails at the Artmore Hotel, climb 191 Peachtree Tower and see a movie at the High Museum.
Here are five things to know about the coming week in Midtown. For a full list of possibilities, look at the Patch calendar of events.
1. Tour the Fox. The Fox Theatre is launching behind-the-scenes tours of the historic venue, starting Monday. Ticket prices range from $15 for military and seniors and $18 for adults, with children under 10 free.
2. Presentations for proposed charter school. Atlanta Classical Academy will hold meetings Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. at The Lodge at Peachtree Presbyterian Church at 3417 Roswell Road and Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Garden Hills Community Center at 335 Pine Tree Drive. Free.

3. Cocktails in the courtyard. Midtown’s Artmore Hotel invites neighbors and and professionals to this annual spring event on Thursday. Festivities will include complimentary cocktails from 6 to 7 p.m. and live beats from a local DJ. Free admission.
4. Huffing, puffing for a good cause. More than 600 participants will race up 52 stories to the top of 191 Peachtree Tower in the American Lung Association’s Fight for Air Climb. Starts at 8 a.m. Saturday. $25.

5. Movie at the High Museum. The High says the film "Silent Light finds the sublime in the natural world and uses foreboding skies and sun-filled meadows to tell the story of a family from northern Mexico’s Mennonite community who are facing both marital and existential challenges." Shows at 8 p.m. Saturday at the High. $7.
