Fulton Residents Encouraged to Check Voter Registration Information and Status

Some voters have reported receiving the wrong information on voter registration cards.

The Fulton County Department of Registration and Elections has recently mailed updated voter cards to Fulton County voters who were affected by redistricting, as well as newly registered voters.

Registration & Elections Director Richard Barron encourages registered voters to check the information on their voter registration cards and contact his office at 404-730-7072 if they believe any information is incorrect.

Midtown Patch has already received confirmation that one Midtown resident received at erroneous postcard stating that their precinct had changed to Dunbar School at 500 Whitehall Street, SW.  The family was dumbfounded, and said they would probably not vote this year due to the distance their new polling place would be.  Luckily the family called Fulton County and was informed on the mistakenly sent postcards.

Residents in the 30308 zip code, especially, should question any postcards they received saying that their polling place has changed.

The Department of Registration & Elections mailed out thousands of cards in the past two weeks.  Due to issues with the State's VoterNet system, a small percentage of residents received voter registration cards with incorrect information. Corrected cards will be mailed out within the next week.

Voters can verify their information by logging into the My Voter Page at http://mvp.sos.state.ga.us/.
Additional voter information is available at www.fultonelections.com<http://www.fultonelections.com>.

Early Voting continues through Friday, November 1, 2013. Election Day is Tuesday, November 5, 2013.
