Atlanta Francophonie Festival - Events throughout Atlanta

rancophones are people who speak French – about 200 million in 57 countries. Every March, they celebrate their shared language and diverse cultures in Francophonie Festivals around the world.Join us for Atlanta’s Francophonie Festival with more than 20 free and ticketed events.

The Festival is geared to Atlanta’s diverse community of French speakers and everyone wishing to discover francophone cultures. Offerings from Haiti, African nations, Belgium, France, Quebec and Switzerland are included with film, music, French Immersion days for teachers and students, interactive workshops with playwrights, and a gourmet brunch.

Opening night is March 14 with a jazz concert by award-winning Swiss pianist Alex Bugnon followed by a wine reception at Alliance Française.

The 15th Atlanta Francophonie Festival also partners with The Nearly New Festival presented by the Goat Farm Arts Center and Théâtre du Rêve, the only French-speaking theater company in the country. Readings and performances take place from March 18 through 30.

The Atlanta Francophonie Festival is organized by the Consulates General of Belgium, Canada, France, Haiti and Switzerland, the Québec Delegation in Atlanta, the American Association of Teachers of French in Georgia, the Alliance Française of Atlanta, the French American Chamber of Commerce of Atlanta, Atlanta-Accueil and Ecole du Samedi.
