Autism Speaks 5k Run/1 Mile Fun Run

Join
us, Georgia! Participating for a cause that means so much more than

just 3.1 miles, join the thousands that grab their running shoes to

participate in the
2nd Annual Autism Speaks 5k Run/1 Mile Fun Run on November 9th 2013 in Piedmont Park. Sign up today, create a team, start fundraising and volunteer! Can't make it physically? Join our virtual run!

The race will benefit Autism Speaks, a non-profit organization dedicated to changing the future for all who struggle with autism spectrum disorders. Autism now affects 1 in 88 children and 1 in 54 boys
and the prevalence figures continue to grow.
Autism is the fastest-growing serious developmental disability in the
U.S and costs a typical family $60,000 a year on average. Autism
receives less than 5% of the research funding of many less prevalent
childhood diseases. There is no medical detection or

cure for autism but early intervention is key.

You don't have to be an avid runner or even a runner at all. Participate

as a team or run solo, bring your costumes and show your wild side or

enjoy the 1 mile Fun Run/Walk and rejoice in all of life's little
victory's as we take steps together to help complete
the missing puzzle piece. What are you waiting for? Register today! http://events.autismspeaks.org/georgia5k
