Get Your Schlager On at Der Biergarten

It’s a hit! A beloved German tradition is back by popular demand at Der Biergarten in downtown Atlanta’s Luckie Marietta District on Saturday, January 26 at 7 p.m., as part of German Carnival. The German Chamber of Commerce hosts the Schlager Party, and is the largest party put on by the chamber all year. “Schlager” refers to “hit song” and is a type of German pop music, which gained popularity in the ‘70s during the Soccer World Cup of 1974. In light of this, a DJ will be spinning pop music and guests are invited to don a ‘70’s themed costume and there will be prize giveaways for best costume! Plus, full-liter Krombacher Pilsner and Weihenstephan Hefeweizen beers will be only $8 that evening. Brost!
