Learn the standard, traditional methods of soaking beans, grains, and nuts. Also, learn some basic sprouting techniques for these food items in your home. Javon Mckinney owner and chef for intimatefoodaffair.com will assist you in your discovery of wise food ways through the proper soaking of these staple foods. You will learn about phytic acid and enzyme-inhibitors – the main reason why traditional cultures always soaked and sprouted. We will take soaked red lentils and make red lentil crispy pecan patties together (bring something to take left-overs home in). 5 person minimum. Advanced registration required.
