Olmsted's Cooking Classes: Cook Your Way to a Slimmer & Healthier You

Cook your way to a slimmer and healthier you in the new year with the help of Olmsted’s Executive Chef Bernie McDonough and a new three-part cooking class series, entitled “Eating Healthy in the New Year.”

On Monday, February 18, the cooking class focus will be on “Making the Most Out of Winter’s Vegetable Selection.” This class will include utilizing winter squashes, hearty greens and winter fruit options like apples and pears, as well as touch on greenhouse-grown products. The final lesson in the series takes place on Monday, March 18, with an emphasis on seafood from buying to storing and best practices on how to cook seafood.

Each of the Olmsted cooking classes will last for two hours and take place from 6:30 until 8:30 pm.  Every class will consist of an explanation by the chef about the food and its preparation, as well as a live cooking demonstration while he prepares the meal for the group, taking any questions throughout. The participants will enjoy a welcome libation upon arrival at Olmsted, as well as a complimentary glass of wine while dining on the prepared three-course meal. Additional beverages are available for purchase. Individual classes are $75 and the series of three is available for $175.
