Mental Health Among Veterans 2013 J. Rhodes Haverty Lecture

Former
First Lady Rosalynn Carter and military and mental health experts Dr. Mary Jo
Larson and Dr. Michael Schoenbaum will discuss “Myths and Misconceptions about
Mental Health in Military Veterans” in a Veteran’s Day edition of the J. Rhodes
Haverty Lecture sponsored by the Byrdine F. Lewis School of Nursing and Health
Professions at Georgia State University. The event is free and open to the
public, but seating is limited and reservations are necessary.





Carter
is the co-founder of The Carter Center. Larson is a senior scientist at
The Heller School for Social Policy and Manage­ment at Brandeis University, and
Schoenbaum is the senior adviser for Mental Health Services,
Epidemiology, and Eco­nomics at the National Institute of Mental Health’s
Office of Science Policy, Planning and Commu­nication.
