Screening of Citizen Architect at Atlantic Station

Join MODA for a screening of Citizen Architect: Samuel Mockbee and the Spirit of the Rural Studio at Atlantic Station on Friday, July 18. Auburn's Rural Studio, founded by Samuel Mockbee, is featured in MODA's current exhibition Design for Social Impact, on view until Aug 3.

This documentary film profile's the program's architect/founder and the radical educational design/build program known as the Rural Studio, one of the most prolific and inspirational design-build outreach programs ever established. Revealing the philosophy and heart behind the Rural Studio, the documentary is guided by passionate, frank and never-before-seen interviews with Mockbee himself.
