WTP presents DEATH & INTERIOR DECORATION by Hilary King

Join Working Title Playwrights for the last Ethel Woolson Lab reading of the year: DEATH & INTERIOR DECORATION by Hilary King!

Blue-collar barbecue queen Dreama Hudson and her husband Tater move into the old-money neighborhood of Edgewood Village in search of the good life, but find themselves and their house the star of the Village’s Annual Tour of Homes, much to the outrage of Edgewood Village Garden Club President, Joan Clemmenger. A dead body, a barbecue smoker, a love-smitten gardener, not one but two scheming interior decorators and one pink pistol bring mayhem and merriment to all.

Directed by Justin Anderson. Dramaturgy by Neeley Gossett. With Jill Jane Clements, Luis Hernandez, Alex Bond and more!

$10 at the door

About the Ethel Woolson Lab:

Each year, up to four plays by WTP affiliate playwrights are competitively selected by an outside panel to be given readings as part of the Ethel Woolson Lab. Each chosen play/playwright is given a 15- to 30-hour developmental workshop through the course of one week, culminating in a rehearsed, staged reading for the public. Each selected playwright works with WTP’s current dramaturg-in-residence for the EWL, and workshops are lead by the WTP director-in-residence.
