Friends, Neighbors, and Family Mourn the Loss of Jessica Malia Lucas of Midtown
Jessica Lucas was a very well known resident and business owner in Midtown.
Midtown Patch received an email from local resident, Brian S., informing us that a young woman from Midtown by the name of Jessica Malia Lucas passed away last week.
According to the obituary in the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Jessica Lucas died from complications associated with stage four cancer. Jessica was 44 years-old and lived near 8th Street and Piedmont Road.
Jessica was the owner of Intown Pilates on Amsterdam Ave., which she opened in 2008. According to the AJC, "Lucas took the six months doctors gave her and stretched it into 11 years."
