Thousands Participate in the Annual Atlantic Station Tree Lighting (PHOTOS)

Atlantic Station transformed an abandoned industrial site into a thriving entertainment district and hosts one of the biggest Xmas trees in Midtown

It was just after 8 p.m. on Saturday night when thousands gathered on the grounds of Atlantic Station to join in the countdown to the annual Christmas Tree Lighting.

This year, the massive tree features over 250,000 lights and the day long family event featured entertainment from Jordan Grassi, the Georgia Tech Glee Club, former The Voice contestant Clark King and more.

The tree lighting also signifies the first day of Atlantic Station's “Share the Warmth” program to benefit City of Refuge. From now through Jan. 4. Atlantic Station will collect donations of warm clothing and bedding for City of Refuge. Donors will receive $3 off ice-skating or photos with Santa.

Stop by Atlantic Station to see the wonderful light display at night and/or to take a glide on the new ice skate rink!  See You There!
