The Rottweiler Who Got Lucky

When this beautiful Rottweiler came into Fulton County Animal Shelter the deck was stacked against him. But after a compassionate shelter employee laid eyes on him, his luck changed forever.

Early on, Jude’s luck wasn’t so good.  This beautiful, sweet Rottweiler was confiscated during an arrest and taken to Fulton County Animal Services (FCAS).

It was obvious that Jude’s former owners didn’t take good care of him:  he came to the shelter underweight, heartworm positive and had a severe upper respiratory infection.  He also showed signs of a possible neurological condition, causing him to walk in circles to the right.  At most shelters, he wouldn’t stand a chance, but when FCAS Volunteer Jillian Udelson saw Jude, it was his lucky day.

Jillian says that Jude’s handsome looks and sweet demeanor won her over immediately.  "The moment I set eyes on Jude, I fell in love,” she says.  “I have no business taking on another dog on my budget, but he's such a good boy that I had to give him a chance!"

Jillian is now fostering Jude and says that despite all he has been through, Jude is a big teddy bear who loves treats, playing with toys, and belly rubs. “He is a wonderful companion who just needs a little extra help,” she says. “Even if he does have a neurological condition, he can still live a great life and be someone’s beloved companion.”

Jude is currently being treated for his respiratory infection at an animal hospital, but Jillian needs help covering his medical expenses.  If you can help, please make a tax-deductible donation here:   http://www.lifelineanimal.org/donate.
