FCAS Dogs Attend Finishing School and Our Pet of the Week: Kena

Did you know that you can adopt a dog from Fulton County Animal Services (FCAS) who has been to CHARM School?  Many FCAS dogs attend the CHARM (Changing Habits and Reinforcing Manners) School program to learn basic commands, leash walking and good manners.  This program was developed by Anna Bettina of Happy Healthy Pup who works with a group of dedicated volunteers at the shelter to ensure that our dogs are polite!  To see pictures of CHARM School in action, visit:  https://www.facebook.com/FCASCharm.

Kena is Cute as a Button!

Our adorable Pet of the Week, Kena, is a CHARM School student.  She is also the kind of dog that makes people say “Awww” when they see her, because she is so cute!  This three-year-old is super sweet, weighs only 34 lbs., and is great with other dogs.  She has been at the shelter for way too long – two months -- and is more than ready to be adopted.  For only $85, you can adopt this lovely girl, and she’ll have had all of her shots, be spayed and microchipped.  If you are interested in meeting Kena, please contact Audrey at ashoemaker@fultonanimalservices.com or Kerry at kmoyershorton@fultonanimalservices.com.

Managed by LifeLine Animal Project, Fulton County Animal Service’s mission is to provide a humane environment for Fulton County’s homeless pets while placing them into loving, permanent homes, and to end pet overpopulation by promoting spay/neuter, advocating for life-saving public policy, increasing public awareness of homeless pets and educating the community about responsible pet ownership.
