Give Back to Piedmont Park

Keep Piedmont Park beautiful - read on to find out how to volunteer!

is one of my favorite parks in Atlanta and a spot I often frequent in the Midtown area. What better way to show your appreciation for a free, beautiful park with so much to offer, than to volunteer your time and efforts to enhance and preserve it.

See the Midtown Patch’s article @ to get the details on how to help.

Many companies in the Atlanta and Greater Atlanta Area have chosen the Clean & Green initiative at Piedmont Park as a way to give back to the community.

My former employer actually scheduled two days where employees could take off work without losing vacation days to spend a few hours working.  The shift today, Friday, June 22, 2012, had about 25 volunteers who helped to spread donated mulch around the park.

It is supposed to be a sunny weekend, and while the projects are Tuesday through Friday (and the third Saturday of every month), come on out to Piedmont Park and see the progress that has been made.
