Question of the Day: What Did You Think of the Controversial Obama Logo?

The logo, which stirred up some controversy recently, was apparently dropped by the Obama campaign last weekend.

Much is being made by politicos about the Obama campaign's representation of the flag, which puts the campaign logo in place of the field of stars.

Conservative media and websites have come out strong against the logo, which might have caused the campaign to quietly drop its use over the weekend. Obama supporters can no longer purchase merchandise with the controversial logo. An error message is returned for anyone attempting to access the link on the the campaign's website.

What did you think of the logo? Much ado about nothing by Republicans? Or a disrespectful overstep by the Obama campaign?

Really? This is news? It's a logo. People need to get a life if this is what they are focused on and not on actual issues.

Tracey's comment above is a prime example of the downward spiral of Americans. Too dumb to know where they live and how fragile and special a jewel is the USA. The Obama "flag" above is not merely an advertising "logo". The Stars in the US flag represent the STATES. Everything Obama has done in 4 years is designed to take away State rights and replace it with an all knowing and growing Federal Government that is non responsive to the people. Putting the OBAMA logo where the States should go is a clever but IN YOUR FACE of what this man truly believes. He is a caliphate, home grown mole. Groomed and guided to a position of power where he can do as much damage to the USA as possible. Part of a plan designed to replace all cultures outside of Islam. Don't believe me??? Obama JUST opened the idea that it should be illegal for anyone to "disrespect" Islamic prophet Mohammad at the UN. That was followed by a formal request by the new Egyptian President to make it a legal offense deemed by the United Nations. No cartoons, videos or speech that may be interpreted as disrespect........or .......the uneducated and gullible with riot and kill you. Obama campaigns now on what he will do to end the RECESSIONS and bring back prosperity. What has he been waiting on? He had the HOUSE, SENATE and WH for first two full years and he only did his Big Govt plans ignoring the "worst economy since the Great Depression" he had campaigned on for two full years. We are frogs in the pot.

So I take it you don't like Obama. I can't wait till this election is over.

I agree Tracy!

Gosh, not a big fan of Obama? I guess it will sting a little when he easily wins in Nov and the Dems get the Senate. If you disagree, then you should bet your entire retirement against the 50 point lead on intrade.com. Thank your tea party and incompetent candidates. If you're interested in winning a national election, try toning down the rhetoric on abortion, torture, war, immigrants, gays, 47%, anyone with a different opinion. Angry white folks are in limited supply.

ATL MIDTOWNER: "try toning down the rhetoric on abortion, torture, war, immigrants, gays, 47%, anyone with a different opinion"...uhhhh..Not one of those topics have been a Republican talking point this season. You just proved my point about gullible, uneducated US citizens. The Tea Party has ONE agenda. That is to demand the Fed. Govt set a budget and stick to it. ( No budget for last 3 years under Harry Reid. That is Unconstituional BTW).Its not a Tea Party idea to be overdrawn at the bank to the tune of 16 TRILLION dollars. Now who with a sane mind would argue with that? You desire the US to be bankrupt? The Tea Party has NO social agenda, NO stand on gay marriage, NO religious goals. If you have been lead to think otherwise than you should thank the Liberal Press who long ago considered the American citizens to stupid to respect & just paint any picture they like. No, I take that back. You should go look in the mirror and say SHAME on me for not looking into it myself. Swollow all the TV says & never ask a question. After all, American Idol is calling. All you mentioned above were talking points of the DNC. None have been part of Romney's campaign. He just wants to fix the economy but ya know he earned a bunch of money so we should mock him & say he is out of touch & then go party with Beyonce and Jay Z who topped the Forbes list AGAIN this year. In one year they make 1/4 of what it took Romney to earn over 25 years. Now to a sane person that would be called a hypocrite.

From their own site (http://www.teaparty.org/about.php): 15 Non-negotiable Core Beliefs 1. Illegal aliens are here illegally. 2. Pro-domestic employment is indispensable. 3. A strong military is essential. 4. Special interests must be eliminated. 5. Gun ownership is sacred. 6. Government must be downsized. 7. The national budget must be balanced. 8. Deficit spending must end. 9. Bailout and stimulus plans are illegal. 10. Reducing personal income taxes is a must. 11. Reducing business income taxes is mandatory. 12. Political offices must be available to average citizens. 13. Intrusive government must be stopped. 14. English as our core language is required. 15. Traditional family values are encouraged. At least they got it right by #7.

b.mclane, YOU GOT OWNED! Please don't take down your post. I'm sending this link out to everyone to show your well thought out ideas and explain why the GOP is crashing and losing. You are the best ever...Thanks!
Matt Fasick September 28, 2012 at 01:38 PM
Yes, very disrespectful. Simple explanation is he's putting "me" before "team."
Clicker September 28, 2012 at 02:58 PM
Of course it's disrespectful. But what do you expect from a presidential campaign who's leader sends the UN representative out to lie about the circumstances of the death of a US ambassador on all of the Sunday talk shows immediately after his death. Desecration of the US flag is small potatoes to this egomaniac-in-chief. Dinner with Barack anyone? Reducing the presidency to a door prize is disrespectful too. But I guess all the ads help pay The Patch's bills, don't they?
Tim October 01, 2012 at 12:51 PM
So are the anti-Obama posters above also very angry/upset with Rep Lewis' Republican challenger Howard Stopeck "STO"'s similar signs in Atlanta where "STO" has changed the American Flag to place his initials on it? Or does he get a free ride because he quotes the Old Testament?
Atl Resident October 03, 2012 at 05:19 PM
Nothing Obama does surprises me anymore, he is arrogant and ignorant! He can disrespect our flag, but when his face should showed up in that joker poster people called it racist... I thought it looked cool and fitting for him...This president has been the great divider of people and he will always be the second worst president in the history of the United States of America behind the Jimmy Carter!!!!
