Meet the Holidays: Dano

Join the Imaginators in celebrating Korea’s oldest holiday, Dano (or Tano), which marks the beginning of summer! It is a day to pray for favorable farming weather. On Dano day, Koreans eat rice cakes made with various herbs, which is traditional Dano food. Listen to the story Bee-bim Bop by Linda Sue Park and learn how to craft a traditional Korean fan to welcome the warm weather.
